CI 2007 BAND SCREENING
Date/ Venue/ Time: October 6, 2007 (for clusters 2, 3 and 4)/ Marikina UMC/ 2 to 5 pm
October 7, 2007 (for clusters 1, 5, 6 and 7) / Villa Lolita UMC/ 2 -5 pm
if you will be unable to attend your scheduled screening, you can still join the remaining screening dates
INSTRUCTIONS
BAND
Each cluster will be asked to send one representative. The cluster has the prerogative to choose who they will send. They can either select band members from different churches in their cluster or send one church as representative. What is important is that the cluster agreed on whom they will send.
There will be three (3) new bands to be selected from the district. The previous RD band will undergo screening and check up. If some members of the RD band will not be able to participate in the coming CI, the missing spot may be filled by new band members from the pool of those who will join the screening.
Since our CI will be 4 days, each band (3 cluster bands and RD band) will be given a day wherein they will be in-charged of all the praise and worship and related activities.
The band must also present a letter of recommendation from their cluster adviser or worker from their cluster. The letter must have the names of those people included in the band.
Skills
The bands must prepare a 10 minute presentation. Selection of songs depends on the band’s choice.
The band will also be asked to do a piece on the spot.
Spirituality
All members of the band will be interviewed and asked to fill up a questionnaire.
The answers will be validated by our workers.
DANCERS (Tambourine and Street Dance)
The dancers will be asked to perform a short, one song piece.
Then they will be interviewed and asked to answer a questionnaire.
Dancers must also present a letter of recommendation from their local or cluster pastors.
The selection of dancers will NOT be limited per cluster. All dancers who will pass the screening will be welcomed to dance in the CI.
REQUIREMENTS
All members must possess these qualities:
BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN
Team player (works well with teams)
Flexible
Sensitive
Disciplined
Open minded (as with regards to wherever GOD leads you
Skilled musician
*not possessing all of the above qualities disqualifies you to join the worship team
* the results of the screening will be announced on October 14, 2007.
